Ca and Mag fertilizer can also be passed to the root zone of plants through drip irrigation pipes, this process is called fertigation. Depending on the type of crop planted, may 1-3 kg of ca and Mag should be fertigated daily to one hectare of farmland of crops.

Ca and Mag fertilizer can be applied through foliar means to plants if water soluble type. To do foliar application of ca and Mag fertilizer 1-2 kg of ca and Mag fertilizer should be mixed with 100 – 200 litres of water.
